About
At Tahoe Sailing Charters we are passionate about sailing. With all the Tahoe area has to offer we feel that any visit isn’t complete without a cruise on the lake itself. There is no better way to soak up the natural beauty than on one of our gorgeous boats. We are committed service and dedicated to providing that indelible experience that Tahoe visitors seek.
The prevailing wind direction in our particular sailing area offers a unique opportunity to discover high performance sailing in calm smooth waters. This leads to a very high quality sailing experience. If you are looking for adventure or just for a pleasant day on the lake, we can tailor the ride to suit your needs.
People choose sailing charters for a variety of reasons, but the pure relaxation our guests find once we are off the dock and the sails go up is a special feeling. It is the ultimate stress reliever. Our qualified captain and enthusiastic crew create a welcoming space for all.
Our fleet includes a Santa Cruz 50′ sailboat with a capacity for up to 32 passengers, and a 36′ power catamaran which can take up to 12 guests. Whether you come on a public trip or book one of our boats for a private cruise, the trip always includes captain and crew, drinks and snacks, and all the fun you can handle.
Testimonials
“This was such an amazing experience. From check-in to departure the staff and crew were outgoing and friendly. The boat is a beautiful sailboat with plenty of room. Tyler, the captain and Mac the first mate made the trip memorable. Beer, wine and soft drinks were served. You could sit in front or back of the boat and Tyler let our kids take the wheel and drive. Mac came up front and offered to take pictures of our whole group. This was a wonderful way to experience the beauty of Lake Tahoe from the water.”
“Captain Dan and Mack were awesome! The snacks were delicious, we never had an empty glass, great music, interesting conversation, and, of course, the view at sunset! We will definitely be booking with them again!”
“WOW! Not only are you in the most gorgeous lake in the 50 states AND sailing on it, but the captain and the first mate know how to take care of their people! Glasses of wine stay full, tasty snacks throughout the sail, and absolutely wonderful conversation all evening long! Best decision I’ve made! Seriously, great for all ages, if you have to entertain your family, this is it! EVERYONE will thank you for it. Thanks captain Tyler and Tim for a relaxing yet invigorating evening!”
