A Mountain-Top Celebration at High Camp: Chantil & Patrick’s Lake Tahoe Wedding

Perched high above the shimmering blues of Lake Tahoe, Chantil and Patrick’s mountaintop wedding was filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable views.

High above Lake Tahoe, Chantil and Patrick celebrated their love story surrounded by sweeping mountain views and the people who mean the most to them. Their wedding at High Camp, Palisades Tahoe was the perfect mix of adventure, romance, and timeless style — captured beautifully by VILD Photography.

A Love Story That Started with a Little Nudge

Chantil and Patrick’s story began in July 2017 when their bosses decided to play matchmaker at C.R. England. Sitting side by side at work, their friendship blossomed naturally. A year later, a haunted house date led to pizza, laughter, and a late-night movie that marked the start of something lasting.

From that night forward, they were inseparable — a love rooted in friendship, shared adventures, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of being together.

Why Lake Tahoe Was the Perfect Place

Lake Tahoe holds a special place in their hearts. Patrick grew up spending time at his family’s home in Truckee, just minutes from the lake, and over the years it became a second home for Chantil too. For them, Tahoe isn’t just a destination — it’s part of their love story.

“Every time we’re in Tahoe, we feel grounded and at peace,” Chantil shared. “It just felt right to start our marriage in a place that already feels like home.”

Perched high above the valley, High Camp at Palisades Tahoe offered the dreamiest setting imaginable. With views stretching across the Sierra Nevada and the deep blue lake below, it created a magical, once-in-a-lifetime backdrop for their vows.

Guests arrived by private tram, taking in the stunning alpine landscape before stepping out to a ceremony site like no other. Against a panoramic view of Lake Tahoe, Chantil and Patrick exchanged vows they had first shared privately during an intimate first look.

The moment was heartfelt and deeply personal — quiet mountain air, soft light, and a love that felt tangible. Flags representing both Lake Tahoe and the University of Utah waved gently in the breeze, a meaningful nod to their families and to Chantil’s late grandmother.

The couple envisioned a day that felt elegant yet relaxed — a reflection of who they are. Soft, organic florals by Magnolia Flower Company complemented the natural landscape, while subtle details tied the story together beautifully.

Chantil stunned in not one, but two gowns from Maggie Sottero Designs via Fantasy Bridal — the first for their romantic ceremony and a second look perfect for dancing the night away.

Dancing Under the Tahoe Sky

After dinner, the celebration came alive under the stars. With music by A Beautiful Sound, laughter filled the air and the dance floor never emptied. Guests toasted the newlyweds with champagne, surrounded by mountain peaks and candlelit tablescapes that glowed against the Tahoe twilight.

Every detail — from the florals to the stationery by Beautiful Wedding Announcements — reflected the couple’s effortless style and joyful spirit.

As golden light fell across the Sierra, they shared one last quiet moment — just the two of them and the Tahoe sky.

Looking back, Chantil and Patrick’s only advice is simple: slow down and savor every second. “The day goes by so quickly,” they said. “Take time to pause, breathe, and take it all in — those are the moments that will stay with you forever.”

Their High Camp celebration was more than just a wedding — it was an unforgettable blend of love, nature, and the magic of Lake Tahoe.
