https://vimeo.com/106566047 Kaitlyn and Dave wanted to throw the party of a lifetime. Well, mission accomplished! The couple, who met at UCLA, but now live in San Francisco, chose to hold their wedding weekend on the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe at the Hyatt Regency. They picked this local because of the endless beauty and all day and all night activities. The couple thought of everything. From flip cup tables to cornhole to the musical styling of Brian Hess Music there was never a dull moment during this weekend long celebration. The weekend was magnificently captured by Ciprian Photography and Reel Eyes Media. From the UCLA-themed photo booth, to the flip cup and corn hole at the reception, and the sorority/fraternity pins on the bride's bouquet – the wedding was a nod to the fun and silliness of our relationship since we met at UCLA. There were fun and personal touches woven throughout the wedding. We sent invitations and including the meal option "don't bother, i'll be at the bar", named our head table "The Cool Kids Table" and had our ring bearer interrupt the father-bride dance with a rap song to get the dance party started. We were incredibly fortunate to have such a beautiful wedding thanks to the backdrop of Lake Tahoe and the our vendors who helped add personal touches. We wanted our wedding to bring out the best in ourselves, our families, and our friends. We wanted a day everyone could enjoy, be themselves, and celebrate. We both live in San Francisco and as adventurous, outdoorsy people we have always enjoyed spending both winters and summers at Lake Tahoe. We chose the Hyatt because we wanted all of our guests to be able to stay with us at one place, and with a lot of family coming from our of town, we thought it was the perfect "mini-destination" spot. A Friday wedding was important to us so we could spend Saturday at the Hyatt enjoying a beach party (with plenty of beers, beach volleyball, and cornhole) and a cocktail reception for all our guests who were joining from our of town. It also helped that the Hyatt has a Casino that allowed us to keep the party going on both Friday and Saturday nights. In the end, we were able to get a weekend of celebration with our closest friends and family, and couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to do so. From the planner, Liane ~ The beautiful, August afternoon wedding ceremony was held at St. Francis of Assisi, at 3:30 PM. Following the church ceremony, about 110 guests gathered on the lawn at The Hyatt in Incline for cocktails and appetizers and fun lawn games –including lawn dice, bocce ball, flip cup, croquet, and corn hole. We all remember what a beautiful weather day it was! Kaitlyn and Dave are a wonderful couple, fun and energetic, and they were surrounded by a great group of family and guests who were ready to celebrate and honor them on their wedding day. We began working with Kaitlyn and Dave about nine months prior to their wedding day. The wedding had no particular theme, but it was evident that it was important to Kaitlyn and Dave, that their guests were treated well, and had a great time. I would describe their wedding day as classic Tahoe elegance, with a fun flair. The bridesmaids wore blush pink, floor length gowns, and Kaitlyn's bridal gown was heavy lace in a mermaid style with a cap sleeve and key hole, open back and covered buttons. The weather was warm while the sun was out, so the bridal party as well as many of the guests took photos on the beach, during the cocktail hour. The weather at The Lake, turned colder at sunset, and guests moved into the Lakeside ballroom for the dinner and dancing reception. The Lakeside ballroom was decorated with white chiffon ceiling fabric swags and market lights, and fruitwood Chiavari chairs set around the guest tables, which were draped in champagne Lamour linens. The over-sized dance floor, was placed in the center of the room, and the band/DJ was set up along the window wall, overlooking the pier and The Lake. The rectangular head table faced The Lake, and was aptly named "The Popular Kid's Table". ( also showing Kaitlyn and Dave's fun personality) The bridal bouquet and bridesmaid bouquets consisted of romantic, soft floral combinations of garden roses, spray roses, cafe au lait dahlias, dusty miller and hydrangeas, which similar floral arrangements ( and table numbers), also decorated each guest dining table, as well as the ceremony altar area. Highlights of the day were the spiritual yet light-heated church ceremony, with laughter and tears of happiness filling the chapel, Kaitlyn and Dave's choreographed first dance, and the fabulous time that guest spent dancing, where seriously ALL the guests danced the entire night! It was definitely a FUN day, and reflective of Kaitlyn and Dave's great personalities.
