Tahoe glamour meets sunshine, snow storms, and the mountains! Johonna and Aaron had a true mountain wedding with stunning views and Mother Nature's twists. Guests enjoyed sunbathing at the beach on Thursday and a snow storm on Friday! To top it off, this wedding was produced by our Tahoe Unveiled fab vendors: Catherine Hall Studios, Bellissima Floral, One Fine Day, and PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn.

When I arrived at the ceremony site, Tahoe Park Beach, there was a foot of snow on the ground. As this is rare for September, the sun melted it pretty quickly ... although it definitely helped to have shovels to clear the area! Guests received notes under their doors in the morning suggesting comfortable shoes and warm clothing for the ceremony. As nothing kills the moment like the cold, we made sure guests would be warm and comfortable, so we put the back-up plan into action: we used galvanized buckets to hold blankets for guests to use during the ceremony; the rental company, EventMasters, kindly added heat lamps onto the order; and the wedding party was provided with a heated tent for staging. Everything was designed to look pretty while providing comfort and warmth.

After a champagne toast at the beach, guests were shuttled to PlumpJack for a warm, inviting, and beautiful reception. Sara Spurlock of Bellissima Floral did a fantastic job of creating elegant arrangements while incorporating natural accents.

The entire wedding was beautiful and the bride and groom were elated! They drove off in an antique Land Cruiser trailing pine cones and a just married sign!
