While we thought that nothing could beat the 4th of July in Tahoe, a 4th of July wedding in Tahoe is about as close to perfection as you can get. While June in Tahoe can be a bit variable, July pretty much guarantees sunshine and beautiful weather. The lake is warm and the air is warmer! It's perfect for sitting and sunbathing by the lake and even better for an outdoor wedding. The 4th of July is already a day of celebrating so why not add to the celebration? The best part of having your wedding during a public holiday is most of your loved ones should have the day off!
One of the perks of a Lake Tahoe wedding, is the opportunity for wedding photos on the lake. Lake Tahoe is known for old wooden boats and they make for gorgeous wedding photos. If you really want to make a scene, show up to your ceremony on a wooden boat or leave your reception in one. Nothing says romance more than a wooden boat ride into the beautiful alpenglow sunset.
Our personal favorite part of the 4th of July is the fireworks. What a way to end your ceremony than with fireworks and having your wedding on the 4th guarantees a show! If you're at a venue that isn't near fireworks we suggests using sparklers either during your first dance or for your sendoff.
Whether you're a big fan of the 4th of July or not, we can all agree that it ideal time to get married. The days are long and the living is good! And Lake Tahoe is the perfect venue for you and your guests to enjoy your wedding and all the activities the 4th of July has to offer!
